No matter how difficult the past, you can always begin again today. - Jack Kornfield

Hi! I’m a Pilipina-America, born in Alaska and raised in the East Bay since third grade. I love creating (writing, drawing, painting, etc.), gardening, and building Legos, especially with my family, friends, and community. I hold a B.S. in Architectural Studies from the University of Southern California and I am also a certified coach pursuing ICF accreditation. My personal mission is to be the person I needed to someone else, so they can be well, pursue their dreams, and thrive.

Hello! My name is Taylor (she/her). I was born and raised in East Oakland, CA and I attended all OUSD public schools growing up. I always knew I wanted to work with youth and help keep them engaged and connected to their communities. I’m currently in a Masters Program at CSU East Bay for Social Work. I’ve worked with foster youth for 2 years now and I want to keep supporting as much as I can while earning my degree. I really enjoy food, eating and cooking it. I love to spend time with family and friends and chatting about new music.

I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy. - Rabindranath Tagore

As an educator with a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for knowledge acquired through lived experiences, Jen is thrilled to be part of the team at Seen52. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology with the goal of providing comprehensive mental and behavioral health services in community settings. Originally from Long Island, NY, she spent several years living and working abroad as an English teacher before relocating to the West Coast. She is a certified yoga instructor dedicated to encouraging authentic, creative movement that liberates and uplifts. In her free time, she also enjoys reading books, listening to music, and playing with her cat!

Hello! My name is Nataya, but I go by Tay (she/her). I was born in Crescent City and I was officially adopted (at 2) in the Bay Area. My experiences have led me to pursue a career rooted in social justice and education, as I firmly believe education is the best form of freedom. I started my higher education at Spelman College, and I’m now finishing my B.A in Justice, Community, and Leadership at SMC. In my free time, I enjoy bringing my son into nature/going to the park!

Hello! My name is Gabrielle (she/her). I grew up in Oakland, California where I fell in love with the culture and community in my city. I hold a B.S in Criminology and Criminal Justice from California State University of Long Beach. I hope to soon pursue a Master’s degree in Criminology, Law, and Society at UC Irvine. Social justice and giving back to my community are the core reasons for wanting to keep pursuing my education.
